| I move in on September 3rd. Classes start the 6th.
I lucked out with my schedule. My earliest class is 9.45, and I'm done by 3.20 everyday.
I dyed my hair blue a couple weeks ago, which looked good, but it faded to/chlorine made it green. And a couple people said they like the green, but I am not one of those people. So I bought a reddish color to dye over it. Bwahaha.
Ummm what else. This past week I went to a truck pull, a mud bog competition, and the Museum of Modern Art. They had a dada exhibit (!) and so Brian and Emilie and I went in. We saw Arp and Ernst among others... we got to see Fountain, which was interesting. I liked the exhibit.
Last night I went and saw Clerks II. It was definitely worth going to see, I'd recommend it.
| So I haven't updated here since March... A lot has happened but I don't feel like listing it all here and I'm sure you don't feel like reading it, so I'll just skip to July.
This past Saturday I saw Jimmy Buffett in concert at Jones Beach, LI. It was fun, but windy, and kind of cold. I had a good time, nonetheless.
I went shopping on Monday and got a lot of stuff, including blue hair dye. Blue hair will be coming shortly.
Thursday I read the entire postsecret book at Borders to avoid paying the $25 to own it. It was good, though, and I'll get it another time. Instead of that book I got Eva Luna by Isabel Allende, and 100 Years of Solitude and Love in a time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. What can I say, I really am a nerd. I can't wait to start reading them, but I want to finish Queen of the Damned (Anne Rice) first. I only have like 180 pages left of that, though.
Yesterday Mel and I went to see POTC2, and it rocked. Go see it. Rider also sent me The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini in the mail to read and later the honors program kids are going to have a book discussion about it sometime in September.
Tomorrow and Monday I have Rider Orientation.
Next Saturday I'm going to a Yankee game. And holy crap! All-star break is almost here. The season is half over D:
I've been babysitting my cousins 12-6, so that keeps me busy during the day.
Soon hopefully I'll be going back to MOMA because they're having a Dada exhibit that Brian and I really want to see.
Life's been pretty good, so I can't complain. Glad to be done with school, I really don't miss it. I like getting plenty of sleep and not having homework or stress. Not that I really had much of either of the latter two things towards the end of the year anyway. Lol, I got my report card in the mail and I got a 49 on the calc final (which was the only one I had to take). I couldn't give a crap. One of the word problems was talking about fencing for farmland bordered on one side by a river and making the biggest area using a certain amount of fencing. I didn't remember how to set it up correctly (I barely studied for the test) so I drew a picture and made a little cow, pig, and sheep inside the fenced in area.
Yep.
Oh yeah, annnnd I got a new laptop for my graduation present. I named it Pirate.
| Yay, March!
So, life's been pretty kick-ass recently. Apart from hanging out with friends increasingly more and more, senior trip to Disney World was this past weekend. I had a blast. It was 85 degrees and otherwise beautiful in Florida, and I would love to go back. We went down on Friday, went to Magic Kingdom on Saturday, Blizzard Beach and Epcot on Sunday, Animal Kingdom and Epcot on Monday, and MGM then home on Tuesday.
Then Thursday I went to the Met for Art History.
Last night Brian and I hung out and went to the diner and stuff, and the waitress was nice and gave us free refills on our coffee and such, because we had like 7 cups.
Tonight Sarah's coming over to hang out.
Sometime soon Caitlyn, Steffi, Brian and I are going to make scrapbooks for our disney trip.
Nothing else is standing out in my mind at the moment, except that I have hung out with Brian and Sergio a lot during the week and such recently, and am becoming much closer with my friends. On Friday nights (when we have money) we(Brian, Sergio, and I) go to Applebees and out bowling and generally have a great time.
Also, my cousin Melissa's birthday was on the fourth (she's now 6); my grandma's birthday was the sixteenth; my aunt's birthday is the twenty fourth; and Ramya's is the thirtieth (if I remember correctly).
Rider and Arcadia both accepted me into their honors programs if I choose to be in it. I spent a day on campus at Arcadia two weeks ago, and I'm spending a day at Rider on Thursday.
I can't believe how fast the year is going. Third marking period is almost over! I can't wait for the summer.

| Happy February!
Alright, first order of business would be midterms, since that was the end of January. They weren't *too* bad. Calc was pretty hard, as was English honors... and 1945-present history honors was kinda hard too. Art History was a piece of cake. I got a 90 on my English midterm, a 96 (or possibly 97, not exactly sure) on my Art History exam, an 82 in history, and a 75 in calc.
Then I had two days off, since the 31 I had lunch and study hall midterms, and I took off on the first for my birthday. On my birthday I went to the DMV and out to lunch and everything, so now I'm off the provisional license (thank god). My birthday was good, I got a digital camera, a hands free headset thing for my cell, annnnd a Johnny Damon batting tee (from my parents). Pete and Terri gave me the Corpse Bride and Anthony had given me speakers as my christmas/birthday gift. I got lots of gifties from friends. Lots of nice stuff.
Since then, not much has happened, really. Started ceramics, and clay is harder to work with than I thought. I haven't actually made anything out of clay since 7th grade. We're making amphoras, and mine is lopsided and ugly. The other one I made was better, but Caitlyn accidentally dropped it on the floor (everyone's from my table, actually), so I had to start over. x.x
Today I went to lunch with Emilie. Uhhh... I'm giving blood on the 22... Going to spend a day on campus with a student at Arcadia on the 28th. Going birthday shopping on Saturday with my grandma.
A year ago this past Tuesday was the first time I drove my car, ever. And next Tuesday is my one year anniversary of having it. :) On Valentine's day. Speaking of my car, it needs a new fan clutch. Long story short, I thought it was making funny noises, so Anthony, Mark, and George looked at it and determined the noise I heard was normal, but the fan clutch needed to be replaced. xD I found that amusing.
Alright, that's it for now. :)
